+ It’s The Law

The Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (the Code) Standard 3.2.2 sets out requirements that relate to animals and pests in food premises. The Code states that a food business must not permit live animals (except seafood or other fish or shellfish) in areas in which food is handled or served.

The Code allows for assistance animals in outdoor, and indoor eating environments.

The health and safety of your patrons and employees is paramount to you. To ensure their well being you will do all you can, just like you take measures to ensure there are no rats and cockroaches on your premises.

+ Why Use This Method

You can’t poison pigeons like rats or cockroaches and trapping is challenging with so many food sources available. Therefore employing an effective, environmentally friendly and humane approach to remove these unwanted pests is a smart choice.

+ Make A Difference

A pair of pigeons can breed up to 8 times a year in optimum conditions, bringing two young into the world each time. The frequency of breeding is dictated by the abundance of food, which in an urban environment is abundant. Pigeon eggs take 18/19 days to hatch with both parents incubating.

This means one breeding pair and their offspring will raise 100’s of breeding adults in their 4-year lifespan. These birds learn their life skills and habits including where to find food from their parents that frequent your location.

Unless action is taken to control their numbers this disease carrying and mess-creating problem will only get bigger.

We operate mostly at night utilizing the latest night vision and infrared technology which means we don’t use torches that can attract unwanted attention.

We can literally get in and out without anyone knowing we were even there and remove any evidence of us ever being there.

+ Trading Hours Removal

We use specially designed live capture nets that can be deployed by our technicians in an occupied space. We cause no harm to the pigeons and your patrons will be happy to see you are proactively removing these messy and potentially disease carrying pests.

+ Communication Advice

AFPP or your staff will inform your patrons before we commence the removal about what we are doing and will happily answer any questions they may have. We will leave you an informational pamphlet highlighting why it is necessary to have them removed and help you to field any follow up questions people may have.
